Mission of the Organisation

We are convinced that people with severe disabilities, who will never be fully independent, possess the same feelings of dignity as anyone else and play an essential role in our society.

Due to the fact that these people find themselves in unacceptable living conditions, our aim is to improve their situation, where, currently, their basic human needs cannot be satisfied; for example, staying safe, freedom (of movement, decision-making etc.), the right to personal space, making social contact with others, having a sense of belonging, finding work and the opportunity to experience life.

It would be impossible to change the situation instantaneously for every single person with severe disabilities. We are involved with, firstly, children and teenagers living in the Pavlovsk Children's Home No. 4, building No. 4, and, when they turn eighteen, support for them and others is continued in the Peterhof Residential Psychoneurological Home No. 3. In addition to this, we assist families who have children at home with severe mental and physical disabilities.

We strive to provide equal opportunities to all people regardless of the severity of their disabilities. We realise that to create such conditions for people with disabilities is difficult and costly but this is our aim.

We ensure that the constitutional right of children and adults with severe disabilities to receive an education and be integrated into society is observed.

We try to understand the different aspects of life and needs of these individual people so that together we can continually improve our methods of supporting them. We create alternative schemes of support for children and adults with severe disabilities and share our knowledge and experience to both governmental and non-governmental organisations.

We support those organisations that, like us, are striving to change the lives of people with severe disabilities for the better.

Our principal resource is our personnel and volunteers. We are members of a public charitable organisation. Our ethos is such that our employees feel valued and are able realise the full potential of their own abilities. We are highly supportive of the creative ideas and professional growth of our employees.

We find our own means to cover the cost of implementing the programs of support that are created by our personnel. Our work is impossible without finance, thus we consistently try to improve our methods of attracting donors.

We provide the opportunity to many different people to get involved with the support of children and adults with disabilities and to gain satisfaction from this. Perspektivy is instrumental in ensuring that maximum benefit is gained from Donors’ contributions.

We are ready to work honestly, openly and transparently. Our reputation and professionalism is our greatest asset. We consistently share our experience and interact with other organisations working in the social sector, and furthermore, in the areas of healthcare, education and culture.
